Kindred Crossing was recently awarded a $1M grant from Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and authorization of the issuance of $16M in tax-exempt bonds from the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA), further setting up the community to close financing in Spring 2026.

This month, Alexandria’s City Council unanimously approved special use permits for the development which is part of a large-scale development with JBG SMITH and Toll Brothers. The project team will now begin working through the permitting process.
