Wesley Housing team members were honored at the Virginia Housing Alliance’s 2022 Annual Awards Ceremony for the significant contributions made to housing in the Commonwealth.
President/CEO Shelley Murphy was awarded the Game Changer award, which recognizes an innovator, visionary, influencer, and/or doer for major breakthroughs and outstanding achievements in the affordable housing industry.
Senior Resident Services Coordinator Cierra Falke was awarded Outstanding Service Provider, which recognizes an individual whose dedication has made a significant impact on their clients or program in homeless, affordable housing, or direct tenant services in the Commonwealth.
The awards ceremony theme, “Virginia Makes Housing Work,” spotlighted affordable housing developers, advocates and homeless-service providers in the Commonwealth who make housing work. These individuals pioneer innovation in housing development (and financing); lead on the front lines of service provision (thriving across in-person, online and hybrid environments); and advocate for increased funding and other supportive policies that make it feasible to house Virginia’s most vulnerable.
