Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager provides administrative and managerial support to the residential community and Property Manager. This position does not directly supervise any employees but will serve as acting manager during the property manager’s absence. The ideal candidate is an organized, efficient, and solution oriented professional who can easily switch between administrative tasks, all while juggling incoming calls, appointments, and visits from residents and prospective residents.
Properties
The Assistant Property Manager and the property management team for these four locations office primarily at Whitefield Commons. However, the Assistant Property Manager will spend time at all properties during the course of the week: Whitefield Commons, Springdale House, Knightsbridge Apartments, and Hiddenbrooke Apartments.
Whitefield Commons features 63 garden apartments, including 27 one-bedroom units, 34 two-bedroom units, and 2 three-bedroom units. One of each layout is available for people with disabilities.
Springdale House is a 6-unit shared housing program for older adults and adults with disabilities in the Bailey’s Crossroads area of Falls Church, VA. The family-style rambler houses adults on very limited incomes, primarily Social Security. These adults live together in a group house with private bedrooms and baths and a common living and kitchen area.
Located in the Buckingham neighborhood of Arlington County, Knightbridge’s garden apartments are comprised of three-story brick buildings surrounding fully landscaped, brick-paved courtyards.
Wesley Housing manages six one-bedroom condominiums located in the Hiddenbrooke Condominiums community; they are rented to low-income persons age 55 and older. Fairfax County provided federal HOME funds; VHDA provided mortgage financing through its SPARC program. HiddenBrooke is nestled near Springfield’s many parks including its largest, Lake Accotink.
